Our Journey
1990
Founded Highland Feather in the Toronto neighbourhood of Middlefield, starting producing down products for the Canadian market.
1996
Began including bedding items in the product lineup.
1998
Moved to our current permanent manufacturing facility on Nugget Avenue in Scarborough, Toronto. All down products are produced here.
2001
Expanded to the US market.
2015
Achieved the milestone of producing 500,000 down duvets.
2021
Expanded our production capacity with new machinery - estimated annual duvet product capacity: 30,000 units.
2024
Achieved the milestone of producing 300,000 down pillows.

Highland Feather Manufacturing Inc has been a proud and active member of the Down Association of Canada (DAC) since 1996. DAC, a member of the International Down and Feather Bureau (IDFB), is a non-profit organization that focuses on maintaining quality standards for feather and down filled products. Being a member of the DAC, our products are certified to be of top quality.
Our products carry the DAC quality assurance tag as well as many other certificates which display our perfection and excellence in quality. All our down suppiers are RDS certified and all our fabric suppliers are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
